It is said that changes in your surroundings, your physical condition and your scalp's exposure from around two to three months earlier can show up in the condition of your scalp and hair today.
The hair growth cycle has three phases:
Anagen: the phase when hair grows.
Catagen: the phase when hair growth slows.
Telogen: the resting phase, when growth stops and hair eventually sheds.
Hair is produced by cells in the hair matrix within the follicles.
Severe fatigue, stress, hormonal changes and scalp stress from UV exposure or air conditioning may affect these cells. When their activity declines, the growth phase can shorten and hair may shed before fully developing, contributing to thinning and hair loss.
Scalp tension may also affect circulation, making it harder for oxygen and nutrients to reach the hair matrix and support hair growth.
Regular head spa treatments, self-massage and daily scalp care are important parts of our approach to supporting these cells. Tension in your scalp and body varies with your stress and fatigue levels, so please feel free to consult us!
